Haggy:
I have to admit I liked this episode. There was one quite silly bit when our pregnant marine tells Gibbs and Ziva to drop their weapons when she's armed with what looks like a bit of chrome hanging rail. (not too clever when they had guns) And then there was the ninja Ziva guns blazing shoot out at the end and how they didn't fill each other full of holes when they were standing right in front of each other is beyond me...but still even that didn't rile me too much...nor did Ziva choking a Russian mercinary into submission using her thighs because...well its Christmas and there was lovely Christmas music and Gibbs being Gibbs... and babies and the whole awwwwww factor. And the end! Tony is like a homing pigeon and I got the feeling that Gibbs basement is as much a sanctuary for him as it is for Gibbs. And that whole Tony/Gibbs talk? For me Tony always finds what he's looking for down there in that basement despite what Gibbs said. Their closeness came across in spades *shrugs* or maybe its just me :)

I just watched the ep and loved it – one of the best ones in ages. I loved that we saw more of Abby and Ducky and Jimmy. I loved how fantastic Tony was in this and that they're making him so competent – and he has such a great friendship with Gibbs now. I loved there was no Tiva – he doesn't ever go to Ziva with his problems, does he? I just never get the impression that they're remotely close or even friends outside of work.
I thought everyone had their moments but most of all I loved Gibbs in this. I loved he was able to say he "had" a daughter (he has often avoided that question before). I loved that he delivered the baby so well. I loved the relationship between him and the Marine. I loved that she WAS a Marine and what she loved about being a Marine. I loved that whole thing. And I LOVED his smile when he delivered the baby – I love that he's a bit happier these days.
The Ziva fight was the one really stupid moment in the whole thing - but I loved the way they sang Silent Night over it.
So Gibbs seems to think Tony shouldn't have given up on Wendy? Am I reading it right? And how cute that he knew Tony would be coming for xmas lunch even before Tony did. Maybe he's trying to set Tony up with Leela and really make it family <g>. I loved Tony's happy smile at the end.
I think Tony's problem essentially is that he loves Gibbs more than any woman he ever meets and none of them is worth giving up Gibbs for. I wish he'd just wake up to the fact that basically he's in love with Gibbs. Gibbs seems fine with it from what I can see! He seems to know Tony loves him more than anyone else, and he's at last letting Tony in more and making space for him. Maybe one day he'll wake up from his Shannon and Kelly grief and finally drag Tony off to his bed! LOL!
Haggy:
The Ziva scene smacked of the Matrix now that I think about it. And your right Sam it was nice to see Ducky, Abbey and Jimmy. I'm so glad that the lad stood up to his future father in law....honestly I would have happily bitch slapped the man for him <bud
Altyerre:
I loved it ;D
Honestly, there isn't a thing I would change about this ep. I didn't even mind the Ziva ninja bit - that's who she is (or rather who she's suppose to be - mossad trained assasin).
I particularly liked Jimmy's "sit down and shut up!" <slaphead
The use of carols was excellent and the Tony/Gibbs scene in the basement... yeah I'll just be over here smiling :D
