Vidding Notes: I
wanted to explore all Jed's "fragilities" in this vid - physical,
emotional, and psychological. The refrain of "lest we forget...how fragile
we are" is a good counterpoint to the fact that Jed is the president -
with all the power and glory that comes with that title and high office. I tried to weave together
the shooting at Rosslyn, his multiple sclerosis, the political
assassination he authorises and his discomfort with his role of Commander
In Chief, the death of Mrs. Landingham and his abusive childhood - using
the repeated imagery of rain and his smoking in times of stress. The vid is highly contextual
in that it helps to know the show but some of it's pretty obvious too <g>.

Lyrics
If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one
Drying in the colour of the evening sun
Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away
But something in our minds will always stay
Perhaps this final act was meant
To clinch a lifetime's argument
That nothing comes from violence
and nothing ever could
For all those born beneath an angry star
Lest we forget how fragile we are
On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star
Like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are
How fragile we are
On and on the rain will fall
Like tears from a star
Like tears from a star
On and on the rain will say
How fragile we are
How fragile we are
How fragile we are
How fragile we are
