Title: Chapter 1: Part One

This is one of my favourite stories of all times. I don't know how many times I have read it, and it never gets old. It is so perfect! Laurence is so evil but i love his flaw and his doubts, it woudl have been so easy to write him as a one-dimensional evil baddie.

Poor Mulder, so damaged and so defiant, such perfect characterisation. I just love the battle of wills between them.

Absolutley incredible, and masterfully written.

Title: Chapter 1: Part One

Laurence is just so despicable!!! With his fussy manners and calculated cruelty!!! I love it though that Mulder has had some minor little victories, that Laurence hasn't had it all his way and that some of Mulder's responses have caught him out! And yes i know i shoudln't be reading this now, but you don't really want me to be one of those silent masses that never leaves you any feedback, do you??? *smiles angelically*

Oh that was... i knew something was wrong, seemed totally like a misdirect, and i was hoping it wasnt, but of course it was. This is going to be awful, isnt it? Of course that only makes me want to read it more. Damn you Xanthe!! why do you have to write so compellingly good? Why do the characterisations have to be so incredibly perfect that i can hear and visualise them as if it is an episode? Even Zee-vah, and we all know how you feel about her! Hah, you are truly evil. I already know i am going to adore this story and it is going to break my heart and I will have to download it and reread it time and again when i need my NCIS fixes instead of rewatching episodes.

 

I love this side of Tony, how desperately he is lying to himself, how vulnerable he is, how niave to think he could pull it off and decieve Gibbs. Poor boy.

Title: Chapter 12: Daylight Part Two

That was a gruelling read, such a hard and dark journey. so very worth it though. Made me laugh and cry, made me angry and hopeful too. Loved it totally. Feel like I have made the journey through the Heart of Darkness!!! So intense and painful, yet amazingly good at the same time.

Pure genius!!!!!!

That was so good, it was like meeting up with old friends that you haven't seen in years. Not especially fond of crossovers, but this is perfect and very credible. It was great to see the Walter from 24/7 again, love the way you have worked this into this story. Gibbs' entrance, wow!! Can't wait to see where this one goes. I wonder if Tony will give Gibbs as much grief as Fox did poor Walter???

 

I like Gibbs/DiNozzo better as a pairing that Walter/Fox, but damn, it was so good to have them both, it is like getting a secret dessert!!!  This is making me want to re-read 24/7 all over again, been a few years since i looked at it, and think i am going to have to give it another go around! that is even better than rewatching the eps!!!

Poor Tony, you feel so much for him, and now go from wanting to spank him myself for being such an idiot, to just wanting to love him. Gibbs certainly has his work cut out for him! That was such a good read, although a little strange after the BDSM-verse ones LOL. 24/7 was my first and The Adversary my fav (or maybe Two Wolves now), so it shoudln't feel this strange to be back in the 'normal universe' yet it does. Can't quite decide which universe i like better!!!

I didn't think i was going to much like this one, as i usually pefer the darker ones. To my suprise i found i was hooked early and read it eagerly. the idea of spirit animals seemed very unappealing but was a little curious to see if you could pull it off. And wow, just wow. Only read the first chapter so far and i have laughed and cried, sometimes at the same time. this is fabulous, and as always, incredibly well written. It was so unexpected and i think i liked it even more because i wasnt expecting to. I love they way you have visualised them as youngsters, so perfectly, and the way the deamons interact, perfect!!!

Title: Chapter 6: Chapter Six- The Strength of the Wolf...

Oh Xanthe, that was the best read I have had since... since... well since the last story of yours I have read. You made me cry at work!!!!! That was so hard to get through, so heartwrenching and just awful. As always you have captured them so well, I could 'hear' their voices. Incredible and amazing with such insight into the characters. I could barely bring myself to finish it, and yet it was so compelling that of course there was no choice. I don't know what was harder to read, the ordeal or trying to deal with the aftermath of it all. Amazing, simply amazing.

So I know I have already reviewed this story, but have to say after just rereading it again, that it is JUST TOTALLY FUCKING AWESOME!!!!

 

Omg i cried so much at the end, it was just so touching and sad and hopeful and so many mixed emotions, i love it!!! Had a bit of a shocking day myself (although nothing akin to Gibbs and poor Tony) and this was such a carthasis for someone like me who is a little Gibbs-like in shoving down emotions and denying they are even there. Reading this last chapter was the best therapy money could buy!!! And i think that this may even overtake the Adversary as my favourite story of all time (GASP SHOCK)

Thanks so much Jacci. I was so proud of this story but then all the joy of it was kind of swallowed up by breaking my leg on the last day of posting :-(. So I feel I never got to enjoy it as much as I'd have liked.

I love hearing how much you liked it - I think you can take and enjoy the really dark stuff when I know a lot of people can't. Which is fair enough but nice knowing that some folks don't mind me going that dark! It's strange because I was able to imagine those terrible things without a qualm - and write about them. It's funny how it doesn't affect you to do that. The only one I ever struggled with was Damage. I even loved writing The Adversary! LOL!
