I agree about the AU, in principle, it could have been wonderful, but i found it ended up lacking any of the emotional intensity it should have. Oh look, there is my dead daughter i love so much and pine over, and i will barely react at all. It was extremely disjointed and disappointing all the way around, and had it been potentially a powerful episode. Vegas on the other hand, was a totally awesome SGA episode, and a total surprise after a generally lack-lustre season (The Shrine excepted), one of my fav SGA eps even though that wasn’t much McShep in it.
