Hi Peeps!
I seem to have been in an exceptionally good mood all year so far *g*. It just feels so full of possibilities! Work’s a bit busy, still, but I seem to be coping. It’s easier to cope with that when you’re not trying to publish a novel and when you’re not living out of boxes with workmen in your space every day. Although, no, the kitchen still isn’t finished but nothing’s actually happening on that front for now, and it’s all perfectly workable, just not actually completed. I’ll let you know when! Don’t hold your breath! I’m thinking the summer…
I discovered Gavin and Stacey, apparently several years after everyone else, and have been gorging myself on the box set of all 3 series PLUS the Xmas specials, so that’s made me very happy :-). What a great show!
News of the day is that it’ll probably snow here at some point in the next 3 days – eep! I’ve got a full day planned to celebrate 
flyingnorth’s birthday tomorrow, so I hope it holds off for a bit!
I’ve also been pondering this slavefic idea I have and wondering if that’ll be the novel I write next. I’ve put together a selection of inspiring pictures to help prompt me *g*. I rather like the idea of Sebastian Stan being my avatar for this. He’s got a sort of arrogance combined with a wounded quality that would work well for the story idea I have in mind.

Moving on, I came home from work yesterday to find THIS cuteness waiting for me! It was all I could do to tear myself away to get out of the house as I was going to see Les Miserables with my mum. More on that below! It was pretty cold yesterday and it looked like Harley and Jemima were having a lovely snuggle together. They are never usually in this beanbag but Harley has clearly just discovered it because he slept in it all night and hasn’t even got out of it today for his breakfast! Jemima always sleeps in the bed with me :-). Not just IN the bed, but she has to be snuggled up against my chest/tummy and if I turn over she gets out and goes around the other side and I have to lift up the duvet so she can get under again and take up her rightful position once more!

And I think it is pretty safe to say how I feel about the possibility of a slavefic. OMG!!!!!! Those pics are truly inspiring and it is making me sigh already. SS does have that look about him, arrogant and vulnerable too and totally edible I am all a-flutter just thinking about it.
I love pics of the kitties snuggling :-). Just makes me melt!!!
And LOL re the slavefic. I will try and start it in the next week or so and see if it’s calling to me.
Flyingnorth just sent me this (below). See, we have a theory that every so often something from the BDSM universe falls through the space-time continuum (or the rift, or whatever) and ends up in our universe – and vice versa. For example, we had their S1 of Suits, while they had our totally vanilla version of the show. They are probably still scratching their heads about that to this day. And this magazine cover from the 1950’s fell through from the BDSM-verse and ended up here, as does happen occasionally… *nods*. (*ggg*)
Hi! And in answer to your question… yes, slavefic and yes cats! We are going to start our search for that special certain someone to fill the cat-shaped hole in our lives… We’ll go to Wood Greeen Animal Shelter (which we can almost see from our house) and see if our kitten is there on 14th Feb… the anniversary of Fenny joining our family 15 years ago. We thought that we would never be able to face another black cat living with us, but apparently black cats are always harder to rehome than any other colour, so black it is! Our little (human) girl is now three years old, so hopefully she won’t pull the cat’s tail and make life hideous for him/her. As for the slavefic… well duh! Interesting that you have chosen the guy I only know as the Mad Hatter in Once Upon a Time. He does a very good line in ‘obsessive’ and ‘frustrated’! Can’t wait to read it!

Funnily enough, I’ve been writing a cat fic and intend to post it soon – probably tomorrow :-).
And yay re slave fic! LOL! I agree re Sebastian Stan – I first noticed him in OUaT and have seen him in a few things since then and find him perfect for the role of the slave in my story!
