I have just seen a ‘teaser’ for ‘This Morning’ (A daily Magazine/Lifestyle TV show in the UK).
Phil was saying that on Monday they are running an article on ‘Do Women Enjoy Pornography?’ Specific mention was made of ’50 Shades’. He asked viewers to let the show know their views!
So….I have checked the This Morning website – no mention yet – maybe when they update?
Now, obviously, not all comments will be used on the show. But if enough people were to mention a topic – surely it might merit an airing?
I don’t want to do anything wothout Xanthe’s say-so…So, Xanthe…..
Can we mention your name?….and this website?
Can we also mention the upcoming novel?….do you feel ready to divulge the title?
(It goes without saying….no bad-mouthing of 50 Shades!)
Clearly, publicity is going to be paramount in getting Xanthe’s novel the recognition that I know – without having read a word! – that it deserves!…..So if Xanthe agrees, will some others log onto the website this weekend or phone the show on Monday(!) and mention her name and the novel?
Is this too soon? I just thought the timing seemed somewhat providential! -
That sounds great! By all means go ahead and mention me and the site and the upcoming story. The title is Ricochet and I’ll be publishing it under the name Xanthe Walter.

I’ve got a blog planned about marketing for when I’m further along, and I’m going to be asking people to help out in various ways with that, if they’re willing, so it doesn’t hurt to start now.

It was definitely this Monday! Not so much a discussion on Women and Pornography……more like a promo for 50 Shades!
There was a slot at 11:15 (I think!) where they discussed 50 Shades – should it carry some sort of a warning sticker? Do we want teens reading it?
Later there was a ’roundup’ of viewers comments – mainly a love-fest for 50 Shades! (I believe E L James sent a message of thanks for support.) Someone sent a message for Holly to ‘stop biting her lip’ ….cue for much giggling in the studio and blushes from Holly.
It was good to see the subject aired – but I really would have liked a broader discussion. -
