I have to say that I think that Sherlock would either be a switch or a top. This is because I think he is a control freak and John is the one who seems to be able to be talked in to doing things. :D
I’m not sure if he could do the totally giving up control. Mind you I could see John being a pushy sub too so I think it would make for an interesting dynamic :crop:
It’s often the control freaks who want the release of giving up control! I don’t say it’d be easy for him, but I think that’s why John is good for him – he’s the only one Sherlock trusts.

That would be wonderful! If you would start a Timeline that’d be great! Feel free to post it here as you go along, or create a separate topic for it.

Oops – Raven just contacted me to tell me about an error on the registering gizmo for the forum which means people get told they’re spam when they’re not! I’ve emailed Jacci about it but as she’s in Australia it might take a few hours for her to wake up and get it fixed! Please check back again regularly! We’ll post an update when it’s done.

Went to see Looper, and in the mini-documentary pre-show preview shorts they had this ON THE BIG SCREEN. (Looper was very good, by the way. Time travel, assassins, telekinesis — good twisty tense stuff) The sound on the big screen was so great. What Eddie Redmayne said about playing to acting choices made months ago was terrific. And Huge Jackman just singing acapella onscreen to demonstrate it…
    Is it Christmas yet?
I haven’t seen Looper yet – I wasn’t sure if it was too violent for me! I would SO have loved to see this on the big screen though! LOL! And I cannot WAIT until the movie comes out. I am SO excited about this!

This looks really amazing and i was pretty skeptical of a movie version, which would probably diminish it, like it so often does. I saw Les Mis in Sydney many years ago, with an actor I totally loathed, and i came out of it thinking i had never been so entranced or moved ever. it was truly incredible.
This one has another actor I loathe, Russel Crowe, but i am thinking after seeing the trailer that he might just redeem himself!! Cannot wait for this to come out, it looks really incredible!!
    Thanks for sharing!
I ADORE Les Mis and I love the casting for this one. I think RC is really well cast so I HOPE he doesn’t let me down! LOL! I am so excited about this movie – I’ve seen it in the theatre about 20 times over the past 20 years and I love it so much. It’ll be awesome to see a movie version :-)

Oh WOW! Thank you SO MUCH for this! I love it and I hadn’t seen it! Please post anything else you find out about it here – I cannot wait for this movie. I have a feeling I’ll be going back to see it several times and I know I’ll be buying the DVD.

I think I’ve made a clean break of it now. I saw a friend yesterday who watched the finale and she hated what they’d done to Harvey in the finale and I often agree with her about shows, so I think I’d feel the same way. The getting high thing is something that might work in fanfic but I’m disappointed in the show going there. One of the big points about Harvey’s character in S1 was that he hated it when Mike was high or drunk, and I felt there was a good reason for that, but it seems there isn’t. It’s all just very disappointing to me. The idea of Harvey pissing in someone’s office? HARVEY? The clever guy from S1 who always had the smart way out and the strong moral compass he hid beneath a veneer of ‘I don’t give a damn’? WTF?
I started to dislike all the characters during S2, and it seems like they forgot who Harvey in particular is. He just keeps losing – cases, people, his own self respect. Last season he was all ‘if someone holds a gun to your head you have a gazillion different ways to respond’ and we saw that in how he used his brain and wits to get out of umpteen different situations. This season he seems entirely impotent and doesn’t come up with any ways out at all.
There’s much less focus on the Harvey/Mike relationship, the dom/sub vibe has gone completely, I can’t stand the office politics and machinations – I always hate those on shows and it was one of the things that turned me off NCIS too. So I’m really just done with the show, sadly. It was a bait and switch thing – I would never have fallen for the show as it is in S2. It’s not my kind of thing. After NCIS I didn’t feel prepared to keep going with a show that did that to me. I was already feeling too badly burned!!!
I don’t see how Suits can go back to any kind of case of the week thing now, and those were what I loved. But now everyone is used to high emotional drama and angst in every single episode, then the show has created this heightened sense of reality where a case of the week would feel boring. It has to kind of cruise along at high emotional altitude forever now. I feel very upset about it to be honest, but I’m completely done with the show and won’t be watching it again. Sigh :-(

Heh! I’m afraid I gave up on the show completely after the first half of the season. This isn’t the show I fell in love with! It’s a different show entirely – and not for me. Sadly :-(

I thought the episode rocked! I wasn’t keen on episodes 2 and 3 but 4 was back to being about a case and less about boring office politics and romances and gossip. I adored when Harvey grabbed Mike’s arm and took him off for his ‘punishment’. He totally took him somewhere private to spank him before delivering him to Louis and that was totally what Mike wanted! LOL!

Do you think they meant next Monday? Because this one has been and gone!
Sorry – I’m having a crazy week this week so behind in keeping up!

That sounds great! By all means go ahead and mention me and the site and the upcoming story. The title is Ricochet and I’ll be publishing it under the name Xanthe Walter.
And no, obviously no bad mouthing of anyone else!
I’ve got a blog planned about marketing for when I’m further along, and I’m going to be asking people to help out in various ways with that, if they’re willing, so it doesn’t hurt to start now.
I don’t know if anyone else will join in. Can you put the link here so I can take a look?

I loved that Mike found out about what Harvey had done for him and the scene in Harvey’s apartment (OMG! Harvey’s amazing apartment!) was delicious.
Lots of other things felt wrong about the episode to me, and I’m not keen on how they’re writing Mike this season, but hopefully it’ll settle back into yummy goodness soon!
There was lots to like though. Such as this:

A lovely companion piece to this:
