My first one was 24/7, had never heard of xanthe or really knew much about this new discovery called slash. I had never ventured beyond my fandom of the Pretender before, and had only read one slash story. The Pretender has very little slash in the fandom so I had to hunt further afield. Stumbled across some site (not xanthe.org which i did not discover for a little while more) and found this Mulder Skinner story called 24/7 and I started reading. (had a bit of a crush on Mulder so figured give it a shot).
I was hooked, but the site only had part of the damn story (and there is LOTS of parts, having recently coded that monster …. ohh sooo very many parts)… so off I went hunting things down again, trying to get the rest of the story until i finally landed at Xanthe.org and happily camped there for quite some time. After finishing 24/7 worked my way through the X-files, both the Adversary and Enslaved standing out in my memory the most… then a few years later i thought i woudl check up on the site and low and behold, omg, there is SGA and NCIS… so i started working my way through that as well… until i got all side tracked by this massive purple project and my reading had to stop or no work would be done and then someone woudl

The new naughty icons are so awesome, just love them. Trying to hunt down for some more, so if anybody has any they find, we can get them up too lol

Can i put in an autobid like on ebay??? lmaoHaggy, Subterfuge is on my list.. having recently coded these stories (nearly 200 in total) there are so many i haven’t read, but now want to. Two Wolves looks really good.
Out of the ones i have read, i woudl have to say my all time fav… and not just fanfiction or even Xanthe fic, but my all time fave story EVER, is the Adversary. OMG i love that story. it is so intense, so well written, so perfectly characterised. So dark, but tender, offering insights into characters that you rarely see. I think i have judged every fic i have read since then by that one.
Don’t know how many times i have read it, i have it on my phone, in case i am stuck in the bank queue and i need something good to read. I have always been a reader and apparently a closet slash fan (anybody who has read Anne Rice’s Interview with a Vampire… that is pretty damn slashy) and i always come back to the Adversary.Kittens have to be the cutest of all baby animals. Unfortunately there is not much loving going on with them any more, I wish they were close like your two, that snuggling pic is just tooo cute!!!

I was not at all interested in any of the SG shows (SGA was well into s4 when i finally figured out how good it was). Was sick one weekend and nothing was on, but fox was running an SGA s1 marathon. Fell in love with Rodney almost instantaneously, and i was definitely hooked on the McShep by the end of the first episode. Since then I have decided that McKay is the greatest character ever written (i know, that is a huge call) and never have seen a better dynamic between two characters slashy or otherwise than Rodney and John.
Totally agree about the Keller fiasco, in fact most of the final season was a downhill slide, with a few exceptions, most notably: The Shrine. When Rodney calls out for John in panic… ohhh my!It is a hard call, as John has that kind of gruff and fun affection, and Gibbs, well Gibbs is Gibbs and that is really all that needs saying. But Skinner gets my vote in the end. The gruff DA, the protective side of him, and he can be so expressive and generous, so stern, so sexy when he is angry and in full DA mode and then there is that lovely bald head *sighs*
Hi taylorgibbs, i am so excited to be meeting everybody, and so very pleased with how all this turned out. I am sure there are probably lots of bits and pieces still to fix!!!

No problems at all., will just have to learn to type faster!!!
I forget that not everyone is a forum-pro and will be compiling a list of things that will make stuff easier for people, so discussions like this are really helpful.
And that option about return to top or not to is confusing and poorly constructed… will see what i can do about fixing that up!!!
