🎧 Xanthe’s Audio Recs
Yup, I’m gonna rec Ghost Eye (you saw that coming!). I’m shameless that way! But also because the narrator, Matt Addis, had to read some very dark scenes in this book, and he does it so well. His voices are the best I’ve ever heard in an audiobook – you’re never confused about who is speaking because he makes each one so distinctive, and they are all spot on for the characters he is portraying.
I have a phone call with Matt before he records each book, and he’s the nicest man with the funniest stories about being an actor. I felt vaguely bad about making him read some of my dark imaginings out loud, but he’s totally cool with it. He made me feel better by recounting stories about other steamy books he’s read during his career, including one hilarious anecdote about a fisting scene… 😉
