Greetings, my lovelies!
- Let me start with an apology. Some of you who joined in the last week or so will have received my welcome emails twice. That’s because I’m still learning this mailing list tech and am apparently not very good at it!
- I hope you’ve all had a good fortnight. Mine has been… busy! I’m so glad the initial launch of Crocodile Tears is over – it was terrific but incredibly nerve-wracking.
- I’m thrilled by how invested everyone is in this story. People are really intrigued by the world I’ve created and have fallen in love with Josiah and Alex.
- Crocodile Tears currently has a 4.6 rating on Amazon.com and lots of lovely reviews. If you enjoy it, please leave a review! It really helps me reach a wider audience.
- The featured author in this newsletter is Elouise East, who is offering a lovely single dad MM romance, so be sure to check her out.
- There’s the usual fabulous list of themed book fairs and sales promos for you to enjoy. It’s Pride Month, so there’s more than usual this month!
💡Spotlight On …Ghost Eye
- Book Two in the Dark Water series is due out on July 1. The ARC reviews have started coming in, and they’re fantastic – thank you so much!
- I must say, I’m particularly proud of this one, because it contains some of the best plotting I’ve ever dreamed up. When you read it, you’ll see why.
- I’m desperate to know if you see the big twist coming. There are several twists in this book, but there’s one standout, and nobody has seen it coming so far. Let me know if I fooled you, or if you figured it out before the big reveal!
- Just a reminder that you’ll need to read CrocodileTears first.
- Ghost Eye contains some dark scenes and themes so be sure to read the Author’s Notes before reading if you’re concerned about triggers.

🎧 Xanthe’s Audio Recs
Jon’s Downright Ridiculous Shooting Case by A J Sherwood
I really enjoy psychic type stories, and this one is just lovely. The central romance between Jon and Donovan is adorable – Jon is a talented psychic who helps the police with cases, and Donovan is the new guy who becomes his work partner… and then so much more. Jon is occasionally vulnerable because of his gifts, and Donovan is an over-protective bear of a man. Lots of opportunities for hurt/comfort and caring for Jon.
The author has a lovely, humorous writing style, so there’s nothing very dark about these books, but there is some jeopardy and a good plot. I really enjoyed this world, and all the people in it.
This first book in the series (but not subsequent ones because sadly he passed away) is voiced by the legendary Kenneth Obi, and I can see why he’s so well-regarded in the MM Romance audio community. His range of voices is amazing, and they’re all spot on.
A very enjoyable listen!
